Our Philosophy
Members of our church come from all religious backgrounds. We are a biblically-based, Christ-centered, people-oriented, service-focused church that puts faith above denominational labels. Our church is a place where you have the opportunity to give what you have to give and receive what you need to receive.

Evergreen Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is an ecumenical community of Christians. Our heritage began in this country with the founding fathers and mothers. The national slogan of E Pluribus Unum became a religious slogan among members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). From Many Into One. With the separation of church and state, Christians from many denominations were now free to practice their faith. Concerned with the prayer of Jesus for the unity of the church, the Christian Church began as a movement to unite all believers in Jesus Christ. Our focus became articulated in the following slogans.

- Not the only Christians, but Christians only
- In matters of faith, unity. In matters of opinion, liberty. In all things, charity.
- No creed but Christ.

Christians from all denominations make up the membership of Evergreen Christian Church. Faith in Christ is at the center of our life together and is the basis of our unity.
