Your Wedding at Evergreen Christian Church

Where God Lives Among us in Loving Embrace


Celebrate the beginning of your life together at Evergreen Christian Church. The Sanctuary was conceived and constructed by the congregation to be a sacred space to host the "holy" and is the perfect setting for your extraordinary wedding day.


The Sanctuary

Evergreen Christian Church is designed with St. Andrew's cross as the central theme.
As you stand in the sanctuary to exchange your wedding vows, you are enveloped in the representation of these crosses in the trusses above you, the stained glass in front of you, the crosses at the altar, and the cross that adorns the very apex of Evergreen Christian Church.

Marriage is a sacrament of love. It is entered into with preparation and serious commitment to a life-long relationship. It is the making of a covenant of love in which the marriage vows form the basis of the covenant between two people being married, a covenant with each other and with God.

Personalize Your Wedding Ceremony Through Scripture - You are encouraged to make your wedding unique. Examples of Scripture follow.

Colossians 3:12-14 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And, over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

You may also personalize the configuration of the sanctuary. You may choose traditional seating or seating in the round.




Evergreen Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is an ecumenical congregation with members from many different religious backgrounds and denomination histories. Our focus is on our relationship with God through Jesus Christ and with one another. We celebrate our unity in Christ as a gift of God and allow for liberty of religious opinion while affirming compassion and love in all things. This theological understanding enables us to work with sensitivity with those persons preparing for marriage, regardless of their religious backgrounds or denominations or church experiences.


To Help You Enter Into Your Marriage With Love and Understanding

As you begin the process of entering into your wedding vows, Evergreen Christian Church offers you hospitality and welcome, the heart of our Christian practice. To help engaged couples prepare for marriage, Reverend Doctor Parker provides pre-marital counseling to assist the engaged couple in beginning their lives together with a spiritual experience.

The wedding coordinator is available to the bride, groom, families and wedding party members to facilitate the smooth organization of your wedding at ECC. The wedding coordinator assists in the wedding rehearsal, prepares the sanctuary and Narthex (reception area for the wedding guests) to specific requests, and smoothly coordinates your wedding day. Our purpose is to make your wedding an extraordinary day.
